THIS PROJECT CANNOT BE OPENED IN THE STUDIO EDITION YOU ARE USING. ONLY PROJECT PACKAGES OR SINGLE DOCUMENTS CAN BE OPENED. This error message suddenly started appearing on trying to open project files which had previously (we're talking a matter of hours) been working fine. I have tried installing Studio 2019, parallels, even using a different laptop to no avail. The tech guy for the translation agency was also at a loss. I am not particularly techy, so if anyone can help it would be much appreciated, and if answers can be not too technical.

    I have just had exactly this same issue in Studio 2021. I was working on a project, I closed the files in the Editor View, and when I wanted to open them again 5 minutes later I found that the project had disappeared from the project list in the Projects view. When I tried to open the project by clicking on Open Project, I got the error message Richard has mentioned. I have tried Paul's suggestion, but to no avail.

    I have been able to open the files by creating a brand new project, but this is not an optimal solution for these reasons: 1. I need to create a return package when I'm done, but I cannot do this from my new project; 2. I was working in TQA mode, but in my new project I cannot work in this mode again unless I accept all my previous changes, which I do not want to do.

    Any other ideas would be more than welcome!
