Improve speed of Find and Replace by disabling terminology lookup

I am currently using Trados Studio to proofread an entire website, so I am "translating" from "en-US" to "en-GB". That way I can use all my regex checks, Language Tool, etc and then upload my changes to the website. Really practical.

Chewing through rather large files I noticed that find and replace is really slow, also because it performs a terminology lookup each time it activates a segment. (I also remember there being problems with the IATE terminology plug-in due to an overload of their servers...)

I can imagine that you are using an existing routine to activate the segment and do the replace action if the search string was found in that segment. It would be good to disable the terminology lookup when the segment is activated by the find and replace function, for the reasons mentioned above. I can disable the terminology lookup manually, but who does that in a normal work context?
