Hello. I need some general advice or ideas on the most efficient way to share resources. Only a few translators working in the same department have Studio, while the rest do not have it. Those few TRs with Studio have created large TMs. Texts in that department are quite repetitive so TRs without Studio would really benefit from being able to use the content of the existing TMs. A Preprocessing Project template with several custom tasks (including pretranslate, generate target and export for bilingual review) has been created. That will allow someone (TR or not) with a Studio licence to preprocess in Studio the texts for TRs without Studio who will receive:
- a final pretranslated text in native format (with no indication of the status or origin of the pretranslated segments).
- an Export for external review file, with the source, pretranslated segments and an indication of the status of each segment, but not of the origin (so the TR will not know if that pretranslation comes from NMT, a TM, a server textbase, etc. Certain colours with which the TRs are already familiar have been chosen for each different status to facilitate their work.
The non-Studio TRs will probably have to work in the pretranslated generated target, but also with the Export for external review file opened to be able to see the status and percentage of the matches. Some highlight colors could be added using the Advanced Display Filter to help TRs identify in the generated target if the segments are 100% matches, fuzzy matches, NMT, etc., but that will require a lot of extra work and the TRs will still not know the origin of the pretranslated segments.
Any ideas on more efficient ways to allow non-Studio TRs to access and use the translated content of the Studio TMs?
Thank you in advance.
