Even with the latest version of this plugin I get an error message (I forgot to copy it, unfortunately but I know this has happened before, with other plugins) and the opening of Studio 2021 is cut short. Uninstalling the plugin helps.

Its always helpful if you can save the error and post this in the thread so that we can try to reproduce.
However I have been able to replicate what you have described and logged this already as a bug (sdlcom-2958) and will update this thread once we have investigated the issue.
