ALT TXT and ability to translate in XLF and HTML files

Question

It has been asked of us if when we translate files if "ALT TXT" for images can also be translated. 
 I have been able to find out this option is within File Types for Word and PowerPoint. 
 However, was not able to discover a way to bring this code for an XLF or HTML file via a checkbox in Common. 
 With so many people with sight issues using web pages and other programs that can read to them having the option to read "alt txt" descriptions would be handy. 
 So, is there a way to bring this coding option within a segment to be translated? 
 Hope I am making sense here.

 it&rsquo;s not quite the same thing as the inderlying files creating an xliff could be anything and this attribute may not even be exposed. Do you have an example of this in an xliff? 
 in html&hellip;It&rsquo;s something you need to configure in the filetype settings and may be possible already. Will test tomorrow.

 For an HTML file it's a simple parser setting:

Fir Xliff? The process converting the source format into Xliff would either expose that content or not. Once you have the Xliff there does not seem to be a lot you can do.
