I believe this is a problem that should be resolved in SR2 due for release in due course.  The first beta for this version was released into the beta community today so we can test this and make sure.

Dear Paul! Our company has 2021 version and we have this problem. I tried in vain to perform this batch deletion, since our memory has thousands of segments containing only numbers, symbols or alphanumeric sequences. The result is always zero, though filters do perform the search function correctly. The only option is manual deletion, though it allows to eliminate only 100 segments at a time.

After reading the posts above I see that this failure had been already detected, reported and is being studied now. However, at home I use a SDL2017 version and both, the search and batch deletion functions, work perfectly. Does this mean that the problem with batch deletion is present only in this new Trados Studio version (2022)? And what about the solution you talked one year ago (the one that was being tested then)? Has the problem been finally fixed?

Although I know it won't solve your problem for now, please note that the bug has been corrected in the 2022 version (at least, it worked when I tried, after I installed it a few weeks ago, while it didn't in the 2021 version).

It's a shame that is still has not been corrected in the 2021 and earlier versions, but I guess RWS will not be investing much time in previous versions, unfortunately.

So, the easiest fix is obviously to buy the new version... but if you do it only because you need that function to work, I guess you could ask custumer service to give you a price reduction. At least, that's probably worth a try!

Your aswer is REALLY helpful, Louis!!! Thank you so much!  We are an in-house translation team, 12 licenses in total, so it won´t be easy to convice the company management to buy us "another" new version (since the 2021 is supposedly a new one). The request describing this problem which I sent to our local provider a couple of months ago was left unanswered. So now that we know that the failure has to do with version 2021, we will try to negotiate the update to the latest one. Thank you so much!
