Maybe check the obvious first and ensure it's not just displaying the find dialogue on a different screen, or behind your open windows?
Or, perhaps make sure you don't have some keyboard clash within Trados Studio or with some other application you have running?
It would also be useful to know where you are trying to use this feature?

I am trying to use this in the home screen (where I usually use his function).
I can see something strange, that is when I type CTRL F, the cursor disappears (as if it was going to a ghost window).

Any idea how to find this window?
Maybe look on the task bar and see if it's there?

Also try closing every single application you have running on your computer except for Trados Studio... including Autohotkey if you use it... and see if the problem still occurs?

I would start with "Reset window layout" and if that does not help follow the advice from the gateway to reset Studio: gateway.sdl.com/.../communityknowledge

This is really strange, when I hit CTRL F I do get the Find and Replace window appearing in the task bar, but the find window is empty....
And what do you expect to see in this very window? Usually the find or find&replace windows are either empty or contain the last searched item. If you did not yet search anything since Studio start, the window will always be empty.

Your point is valid, but since the CTRL F does mot make appear any window, how I am supposed to generate the first find?
OK, now I understand. Have you tried to reset the window layout? Or to reset your user profile?

yes, I tried to reset the windows layout, but without success. No, I did not try to reset my user profile (sounds a bit scary)

I have closed down every single program except Studio.
I have checked in the option tab that CTRL F is defined to Find (it is).
I get this find and replace windows, but it is empty
