Hi,
How can I open Madcap files with flsnp, flprj, fltoc and flvar extensions? I can only open html amd htm.
I've add these extensions in the Madcap Configuration, but then how do i configure the way to detect them? I've add the names of the files, but I can't open them.
Maybe worth reviewing these posts as this has been discussed before:
Ultimately you need to open these files in a text editor, understand how they have been prepared and customise Studio appropriately to handle them.

Thank you Paul. One simple question: I've introduced different NadCap Flare file extensions (*.html;*.htm;*.flprj;*.flsnp;*.fltoc;*.flvar).
In Detection the "root element" I've to add is the "name of the file"?
I've add the name of the files but I can't open the flprj;*.flsnp;*.fltoc;*.flvar files.
Where do I find/What's the root element here?

Open them up in a text editor and copy the root element from the files. Evzen explained this very nicely and even showed you the root elements he used in the thread. If your question is because you don't know what the root element actually is this should help:

Also make sure that you have made these changes to the correct template? If you made the changes in your project settings it's too late because all new projects won't be using those project settings. So do this to your default project template.

Hi Paul,
I send you the steps I've done to add the MadCap extensions in configuration.
I've created a new project and I've made the changes in the Default project template (adding the file extensions and the root elements both in XML and XML 2, see attached).
Trados 2019 doesn't detect/open these files (flsnp, flprj, fltoc, flvar).
Do you know what the mistake is?
