I have recently updated Trados from 2015 (on an old computer) to 2021 (on a new computer). I saved all my TMs on the new computer, but the folders appear to be empty. I assume this must be an upgrade problem. I found and read this article https://gateway.rws.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0034935, but it doesn't deal with Studio 2015. I am a basic Trados user and not nearly savvy enough to solve this on my own. Can my old TMs be salvaged at all? Thank you!
Hi Angela,
If you have the 2015 version, all you need to do is export the translation memories to .TMX in the Translation Memories window. That format can be imported into the latest translation memories of Studio and other translation software too.
You can then import them into new TMs in 2021.
If you no longer have the 2015 version, there is a tool that you can download from the AppStore that you can just drag and trop your translation memory to, to export to .TMX, which you can download here:

Thank you very much for your kind reply! I've been trying to do what you suggested ever since I got your email, but I seem to have got caught in a loop (download-login-download-login, rinse and repeat) and couldn't download anything at all. I went to another thread for suggestions, but nothing others have done helped me get out of the pickle jar.
