I am writing to ask help on an alredy discussed topic: XLIFF files.
I have received them for translastion but I cannot work on them because the segmentation is not working properly in CDTA paragraphs.
Here's a screenshot.
I've tried and create my own xml file type activating embedded contents but it's not working (and I don't really know what I am doing :-) )

It looks to me as though your filetype is not being recognised because we can see all the CDATA tags. This is what the out of the box XLIFF filetype will do. Can you show us a few screenshots of your custom XML filetype, in particular these bits?

It looks like it automatically takes "xliff" as file type rather than "xml".
If I deselect "xliff" types from the options, the file cannot be seen as translatable anymore.
I am sorry for this low-level questions but I am really confused.

XLIFF files are XML files, but they should not contain any CDATA sections. I remember a participant of this forum coming with this problem before... Since they are XML files, defining a custom XML file type might be the way to go, but as Paul said, your screenshot does not give us any useful information.

If you wish to handle these XLIFF files as XML then you need to create your own custom XML filetype. The link I gave you explains how to do this.
When you do this one of the things you will have to do is tell it to open *.XLIFF files with your custom XML filetype. I really think you should read the article I provided because I think it'll make it easier for you to understand the questions we are asking in addition to avoiding questions altogether once you've grasped the concept.

Hi Paul, I've renamed my xliff file into xml, studied the articles (about custom xml files and tags) and succeded!

Excellent... nice work!!
Don't forget you can use XLIFF in the file dialog wildcard expression here and then you don't need to rename your XLIFF files to XML:
