Decrease the size of an SDLTM

Hello friends!

Could you help me decrease the size of an SDLTM?

Ours have 1.2 GB after the latest update for Trados 2021.

I`ve tried many plugins, remove duplicates and all, but no luck.

I`ve exported to TMX, which is 600 MB in size, and has 990k entries.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks in advance!

  • You have updated the TM in Studio to use it with all the features supported there. This includes fragment matching and many more. This results in increasing the TM size. A TM of 1 million segments will have over 1 GB, that is completely normal. The EU TMs have over 9 GB on my PC and my own TM is 4 GB. As the storage space in a PC is really cheap now, I do not really understand your problem here.
