No... and possibly no.

I tried this with the German UI as well and it still worked.  Maybe try a reset... it's a weak response but if this is not working for you then something may need resetting.  Guessing really!

You could use this app for the reset and this will also explain what you will lose by carrying out a reset before you do it:

appstore.sdl.com/.../

But if you'd rather do this manually then rename this folder (just add _old to the end or something, it's not important what you rename it to) and restart Studio:

c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio16

So the path would become this:

c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio16_old

If you can't find this folder then you need to unhide your hidden files/folders:

Does this happen with all filetypes or just some?  Which type of files are you working with?

Many thanks for your reply. I learned that the column with segment status information located beween the source segment column and the target segment column is hard coded and can not be hidden or deactivated. Maybe my description wasn't precise enough ...

I also learned that in Trados Live the editor looks different and the column is to the rigth ot the target segment column.

your description was fine. Now you are talking about a completely different column. The document structure column is on the right and can be hidden. Why you’d want to hide it I’m not sure, but it can be hidden.

The column you are now referring to, with the match values etc. cannot be hidden.

The interface of the editor in Trados Live is clearer. There the match values and other information is to the right of the target segment column.

With so many options to customise the interface in Trados Studio I don't understand why the segment numbers column to the left can be hidden and the "match-value-column" can not ...
