It's always good to perform Workaround 1 now and again, especially after a Window Update.

A necessary thing to be aware of is that some of the suggestions under Workaround 2 will reset your profile settings (those set via File>Options) to the default settings if you have customised them.

A relevant point here is that I always remove projects I have finished by right-clicking on them in the Projects window and selecting 'Remove'. I don't perform the 'Complete' batch task because I frequently need to re-open previous projects for reference and thus prefer to keep my projects available but not listed until I need them.

Many thanks for your suggestions! I've tried all 3 workarounds but unfortunately they didn't help. After the reset Studio keeps listing the "Completed" projects even if the "In progress" filter is enabled.

So far I have preferred to mark the projects as "Complete" so that they can be archived in GroupShare, but using "Remove from List" option will be better to get rid of them in the project list.

Resetting Studio didn't help clearing this bug, but it is always nice to have a fresh start. It works a bit faster now.

I'm glad that resetting Studio made Studio a little faster, at least.

This is a known issue and has already been flagged up to Development. Apparently, if you change the selector to "Completed" or "All" then back to "In progress" the display will be back to normal until you restart Studio.

We're beta testing Studio 2021 SR2 at the moment. Hopefully when it is launched, this problem may have been resolved.
