Could you perhaps share screen shots of what you are seeing please-

I created a small EN-ES project and ran the spell checker

Its also perhaps worth checking the settings and switching the Active Spell Checker

Make sure Hunspell is selected - then create a new project and see if this now works for you.

This is what i see. I had all the checks you mentioned, i change the language of the program and nothing. I got trados recently and this has always been inactive, i never been able to use the check spelling. I don't know if it needs something additional

What is your specific target language (e.g. ES-LA, ES-CO, ES-AR)? Some variants are not supported out of the box by Studio and require a workaround.

Do this:

1. Go to the App Store, download and install the Hunspell Dictionary Manager 2021 app.

2. Open the app and under "Select appropriate dictionary language", select one of the supported Spanish variants, such as ES-MX.

3. Under "Select new dictionary language", select the variant that is not currently supported (such as ES-AR, for example).

4. Click Create.

Restart Studio and you should be able to use spell checking now.
