I have tried to replicate this and cannot and im not seeing this mentioned elsewhere, so perhaps it may have something to do with the second screen.

Perhaps it's worth closing Trados Studio, then disconnecting the second monitor and then checking in Windows settings that only the main monitor is recognised.

Next- reset Trados Studio once again.

Then without opening Trados Studio- set up your 2nd screen. Once done, reopen Studio and see if this has fixed the problem.

Thank you so much for taking your time to try and help me out. Before I got the chance to try your advice I had it sorted out. 

A software engineer explained that it was due to a bug in Windows, that moves a box outside any screen. So, you must bring it back.

• I right clicked on the blank Find/Replace box (even if it was jammed with a blue circle)
• Then the pointer changed to a white "cross" with arrows in all ends.
• I then kept the "arrow key to the right" at the keyboard down until the box suddenly turned up. (You could try the arrow to the left as well)

Maybe it could be of help to someone else in the future. :-)

Thank you so much for your fix, I got the Find/Replace operating again. I had honestly procrastinated a bit like 3 weeks with this thing not working properly before I came here to try and find a solution. Anna you were very helpful.
