Hi all. Was having this problem today. I did all the renaming and repairing as per KBs #6625 and #4393 to no avail, and now have multiple folders around the place clogging things up. Signing in as administrator solved the issue.

Actually, signing in as administrator once may solve this problem without reinstallation, if you go to the .exe file for Studio via Explorer.
For Studio 2014 in Win8.1 that would be via C:\Program Files (x86)\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio3.
Right-click on the 'SDLTradosStudio.exe' icon. A dropdown appears, from which you select 'Run as administrator'.
