Before you can merge, the segments must be selected. Click the number of the first segment to merge, keep SHIFT pressed and click the number of the last segment to be merged. Now you should be able to merge them. You can also use keyboard. Look for shortcuts to select rows. The shortcuts in my screenshots are not default, so you must check the corresponding shortcuts in your system.

Hello, I have just tried selecting the two rows by clicking the first and then holding SHIFT and clicking the second (it's only two to merge) but the Merge Segments command is still greyed out. The segments are highlighted but no option to merge.

Please post a screenshot of selected segments and your project settings.

Hello Jerzy, I have just tried again and it now seems to be working. The Merge Segments command is now available and not greyed out. I genuinely don't understand why but many thanks for your help. Much appreciated.
