Hello,
My computer crashed while working on a 35,000-word translation project. It seems my files are corrupt now and they will not open in SDL Trados 2017. The message 'An error occurred whilst trying to determine the file version' appears when trying to open the .sdlproj file in Trados. I had not updated the TM, but I did confirm all of the segments. I had about 30,000 words done. This had NEVER happened to me in years working with this program, I am caught completely off guard.
I've tried to create a new project and move the old .sdlxliff project files to the new project folder, but it isn't working... I get the error message 'Unexpected error when detecting file type for file [...] invalid hexadecimal character 0x00, line 1, position 1'. My file is empty when I open it in the notepad.
Is there a way to recover this project?
