Error message: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" when importing alignment to TM

Hi all,

I am currently having issues importing a longer alignment (word documents) into a new TM.

Having aligned it, I cannot import it into the TM, nor can I save it as an xliff file. In both instances I get the same error message: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

I have attached a screenshot of the error details: (Hope it's readable..)

Error message in Trados Studio stating 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object' with details of the error stack trace visible.

Any ideas? I don't want to close Studio as I have just spent hours aligning the document and don't want to risk loosing it...

TIA!

  • Hi, has this issue been resolved in the meantime? A team mate of mine has the same issue (error log below) in Studio 2017 SR2 CU 17.

Otherwise could you also please open a support ticket for us? She can't close Studio either for fear of losing hours of work.

  • Hi!

I didn't get a resolution to it unfortunately, and ended up cutting my losses, re-aligning the document and then successfully importing it. But maybe there is a solution out there. Good luck!
