Wendy Cummings, I have done what I can to repair and to save as much as your TM as possible.

You had over 674 000 TU's and I managed to give you an improved TM of 661000+

I dont know why the TM repair could not do more for you - I will need to look into this. But sometimes the traditional methods are still applicable.

Solution:

What I did was to

1. Export the TM into TMX.
2. Create a new TM
3. Import TMX in
4.  Run the built in upgrade, which the later versions of Studio advise (which is why you may have seen a triangle alongside your TM name, https://gateway.rws.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0034935)

So why did your TM "corrupt"??

I believe it was down to a combination of the following:

1. TM Size:

Well your TM was large and while we dont restrict the number of TU's you have, it is recommended for file based TM's you dont exceed 100000: https://gateway.rws.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0032215

Perhaps if you want to continue having such large TM's it worth looking into Trados Live Essential which is a cloud solutions designed to manage/process such large databases optimally.

2. General Maintenance:

It seemed to suggest little was done to address any anomalies or stability of the TM since 2016 and/or since 1000+ additional TU's were added.
Once again the warning triangle was an indication it needed attention.
