CSV files: Format > Minimum number of columns (Trados 2011 vs. 2021)

I've recently come across a video on YouTube (taken in Trados Studio 2011: www.youtube.com/watch, where there's a nice option available in the CSV file format section. It seems it was possible back then to define a minimum number of columns in Trados. I've been using Trados since 2014 and I don't recall such an option. Was it deleted on purpose? It seems like a nice option to me. What was the purpose of this option? Was it possible to display comments as an extra column in the Editor window?

We're going to use the option "Extract comments as structure information" to see some meta data during translation. With the Segment Information Viewer plug-in, it's possible to display the comments all the time, not ony after clicking it in the comment column. Such an extra column would give us more flexibility.
