While 2015 is not longer supported, I am aware development items were raised with errors as you now report. The detected target language does not match that expected by the project.

In order to assess if the issue you report matches what we have logged, please can you share with us your files?
They would also allow for us to test if the issue has fully been resolved, all be it in a new version of Studio.

Please do so only is permitted and in a manner you deem safe and secure.

thank you very much, I uploaded the files to sharepoint. 

Trados happened to let me select the target language when I opened those files as a single translation, so although it detects the language automatically, I can select my target language, but it still gives the same error when I create a project with the files. 

I need to work on the files as a project to be able to create a return project and get a report on the files.

Regardless of 2015 being no longer supported, Lydia shared a file and we have managed to reproduce the same in the 2021 version, while also being already raised this with the teams (CRQ-13210), so the teams are working on this.

As a workaround, please do the following:

1. Create a new project and add the files.

2. In the target folder, open the created sdlxliff files with Notepad++ and at the top, where look for this: target-language="en-US" and change the language code to match the target language set at project level. Save the file.

3. Open the file in Editor and check if you can save target successfully.

Thanks for helping with the files. Just double checking, my target language is Turkish, so what is the language code for turkish that I should replace? 

And shall I change the language code in the xliff files AFTER i create the project - after Studio auto detects it as en-US first? Or first change the language code in Nptepad and then create the project?

You can make this change either before you create your studio project meaning, directly in the native source file(s). 
Or after your studio project, directly in the sdlxliff files.

Either way, as Oana Nagy explains, open the files in an editor and change target-language="en-US" to target-language="tr-TR" for Turkey Turkish
