Dear all,
I just upgraded to Studio 2021 and am trying to upgrade my memories. On my pc, it works without problems.
But on my May with parallels I get an error message concerning the backup that the path is invalid.
RWS suggested moving the memories to C/ to upgrade them - which I did - but then I got the error message that there was no access to a certain log-file (which does not even exist on my computer, I searched by name).
Can anybody help?

Of course. The first error is this:
And then I move the TMS to local as suggested (c:), I get this. However, this log file mentioned there, does not exist.

Please, can you try a manual update? Open the TM in the Translation Memories view, right - click on it and select Settings >Performance and Tuning.
Then press the options "Recompute Fuzzy Index" and "Re-index Translation Memory".

thanks. I did that and it recomputed and re-indexed the memory, but I still have the warning sign there and when I try to upgrade now, the error is the same. I also loaded a few old projects that should completely be in the memory, but no matches show.
Any other ideas?

And now even when I try using the memory in 2019 again, it has that little warning triangle.
The little warning triangle suggests that the memory needs again re-indexing, in other words upgrading, just like you tried before.
What I'm curious about is the second error of the .log file - this should not come up if you select the right memory file.
Can you please send us the screenshot with the memory file where it's located exactly?
And, if you try to select a different memory, from the same location, does it work?

Hi Kristina! I'm curious to know if you found a solution to this issue - because I have exactly the same ... I did all the steps described in this thread, but I still have this warning icon and new entries are not saved in TM. Best, Alexandra.

unfortunately no. I simply gave up. I am now using the memory (with the warning triangle) and building a new one up in parallel. But I have no idea how well it works.

Hi Kristina,
What I did today was exporting TM to tmx, creating new TM and re-importing TM. I still have this warning icon but at least new entries will be saved in TM again. I have this issue with other TMs, too. I use the same setting as you do, Mac with Parallels, maybe it has to do with access rights but I don't know which setting to change.
