Hello, I have received a word file that contains the same text in two languages (Spanish and English). I will translate only the English text.
The file is quite long and includes figures that are also commented in both languages. Is there any "automatic" way to exclude/filter the Spanish text in Trados or before importing the file in Trados, so that only the English text is left (1) to get a precise analysis and (2) to ease the translation?

Only if the text is really declared to be in certain language or has different formatting. In both cases you can use search and replace, leaving both boxes empty, but selecting the corresponding formatting as a search pattern. For example to search for Spanish text, use search & replace, go to format there and chose Spanish. As the replace pattern chose font and select "Hidden". This way Studio will ignore the hidden text—so only English will remain for the analysis and translation.
