1. What is your studio version
2. Is my understanding correct in that Georgian is left to right?
3. Under File - Options - Font adaptation what font do you have listed for Georgian?

But your suggestion does not work.

I also tried installing the new language in Windows and a Georgian font to see if Trados takes it, but it doesn't.

I have Studio 2021.

I would change the font from default to something else (ideally one that is best suited for your language) . The front drop down is to enable users to specify the font to be used for a particular language. However, if a particular text format is already specified for a file, this may override the settings that you make here.

I already tried that too.

Maybe it is a different issue here, I exported the source PDF to Word, and characters are not displayed properly in Word.

But I can write in Georgian in my PC (ას ყოუ ცან სეე) as you can see.

Oh well that makes sense 

By doing your conversion from PDF to MS whereby you confirm that the characters also also displayed incorrectly - then Studio will respect what is sees in the native file.
Once you fix the font in MS Word/PDF Studio should give the correct display.
