Files are exported for external review, the end user makes changes. But when the file is brought back in it doesn't show the changes. Is there a parameter setting or something that needs to be turned on?

Thank you for your post.
Which external review process are you following, Bilingual or Retrofit?
Are you getting an "error message"?
Has it worked before, does it work on other projects or is it just this one project where its not working as expected?
Both have some degree of limitations such as, adding new paragraphs.
Also it is recommended that no changes should be made to the .sdlxliff once the file(s) has/have been exported for review.
