My TMs are empty after SR2 update

Hello:

I hope you can help me with this issue. I looked for a similar thread first but I couldn't find it. In case there's something similar, I understand if my question is moved to another thread.

Here's the thing: I did the SR2 update like three weeks ago. Today I tried to test the program by creating a project. Somehow, the TMs that I had previously created and that were full of texts segments are now empty. There were no errors when creating the project. When I opened up my translation memory, I found nothing and no option to refresh it. This happened to 3 out of my 4 TMs. Only 1 was ok and I could refresh it without issues. I attached a screenshot for your convenience. What could I do?

Thanks in advance!

Trados Studio screenshot showing an empty translation memory with no translation units displayed. The 'Actualizar memoria de traduccion' or 'Refresh translation memory' option is highlighted.

  • Hi

Thank you for your screen shot.
The error you point to below and that is greyed out does not matters as that relates to if your TM's need upgrading.

What does matter is if you press the top option, does the TU content display itself?
Also if you select configuration, how many Translation Units do you see?

Screenshot of Trados Studio menu with 'Abrir' option circled in red and an arrow pointing to 'Configuraci n'. A greyed-out option 'Actualizar memoria de traducci n' is indicated with a red arrow.

I trust there is a misunderstanding so will work with you still its sorted.

You also mentioned you created a project error free, but what as the outcome of that?
If your TM offer any leverage? If you then opened the files in the editor view, did you see anything from your TM's?

    Looking forward to your clarifications

  • Hi

Thank you for your reply and for following up. Allow me to briefly clarify you what happened.

First, I updated to SR2. Second, I created a project to test the upgrade. Next, I realized that my TMs hadn't been indexed. After that, I was able to update only my TM named "Infections During Pregnancy" that you will see in the screenshots attached. The rest of my TMs were completely empty after the upgrade and didn't show the option to update them.

I repeated the process so you can see it in the link below. You'll see that the translated segments are returned thanks to the resources on the cloud. The TM "EduServer Phase 2" is completely empty now. But "Infections During Pregnancy" shows all the saved segments without issues. I guess my TMs will be filled again when working with them but I hope there's a way I can recover what I had before.

Thanks in advance for your valuable help!
