Superfluous xliff files

Hi everyone, there's something that has been bothering me a long time. For some reason, Trados Studio (2017, 2019, 2021) creates several copies of xliff files when saving a project for the first time. These appear in Windows Explorer with the same name as the xliff file + a 6 figure number. It takes up a considerable amount of disc space. A couple of weeks ago, I manually removed these superfluous files from my hard disc for 1 client and 1 year. It took me about 4 hours of work and I gained 17 GB of disc space...  It doesn't really hinder my work but if there is a way to avoid this (or an automated way to delete them), I would like to know about it... Thanks very much.

One example (I've removed the file name for privacy reasons):

Screenshot of Windows Explorer showing multiple SDL XLIFF documents with similar names followed by a 6-figure number, indicating duplicated files created by Trados Studio.
