Trados 2017 crash issue

Question

Hi, I have a question about the crash issue when updating TM. 
 I am using Trados 2017. Every time I try to update TM from the project file stored in a shared folder, the Trados software crashes. I can open and add the file to the project list from a shared folder, but when I click Batch Task>Update Main Translation Memories, then suddenly it crashes. 
 I have no problem importing project files stored in my local folder. Is there any setting I should be reviewing? I'd be happy if anyone can help me with this issue. Thanks.

 Try saving the project locally and then see if the problem still occurs? Trados Studio wasn't designed to work in the way you are using it so it's worth ruling this out as the source of the problem first because it won't be anything we would fix even if the 2017 version was still under support... which it is not.
