I use trados studio 2021, with a plugin from DeepL. Usually when I insert a word file in machine translation containing superscripts, subscripts or formulas in the original, these are not reflected in the translated version.
I would like to know how to fix these formulas.
What you are describing is fascinating as the general rule is, what you see in the Editor view is what you should expect in the target file.
However what to factor in is the native file format when not only creating your sdxliff files but generating target.
Assuming we dont misunderstand each other when you say
not reflected in the translated version.
A few tests to explore:
Test 1:
If you see superscripts, subscripts or the formulas being displayed in the target column, - open the sdlxliff file in notepad ++
How are the superscripts, subscripts or the formulas being displayed in there?
Test 2:
Please can you take an example of superscripts, subscripts or the formulas and place them in a different file format.
Do you get a different result when generating target?
Test 3:
I dont suspect its a DeepL related issue (or any other target source), but what you used a different source for target translation?
Example: TM, manual translation, copy source to target or a different MT provider?
