Numbers being "auto propogated" and "context matched" wrong.

Hello,

I am having trouble getting the right numbers moved across. It is usually just the decimal section numbers (1.1, 1.2, etc). However, it seems to get it wrong on the 1) Content Match (when I click into a blank number section) as well as 2) the pre-translate (says 100% but is wrong).

How can I fix this?

Example 1

Screenshot showing Trados Studio with incorrect decimal section number 2.2.1. instead of 2.1.2. with a Content Match indicator.

Example 2

Screenshot displaying Trados Studio with a pre-translate error, showing 100% match but incorrect decimal section number 2.5.1. instead of 2.1.5.

  • The problem is these are seen as three separate numbers:

Screenshot showing a number sequence '2.2.1.' in Trados Studio with each number separated, indicating a potential formatting issue.

The TM then tries to do something with entries already in your TM but gets mixed up.  The safest and asomore practical way to hadle these is as Jerzy mentioned.  Filter on these segments, copy source to target, change to confirmed (just for completeness its not necessary), then lock them.  Now filter on unlocked and you have them all done, 100% correct, and you can focus on the rest of your translation.

Working this way can get a lot done really quickly and without errors.  Hopefully it'll be a useful tip for you?
