Save Target As for multiple XLF files

Hi everyone,

For two specific projets, I am unlucky enough to have to work in XTM, which lacks many of the features I need and use. The projects consist of many files: 24 respectively 100.

Fortunately, I am being sent XLFs before delivery, so that I can do final operations like bulk replace across all files, QA, … I chose to do these operations in Studio/Transistor. So I open the XLFs in Studio and work with them in the editor as a single merged file.

Unfortunately, I did not find a way to save the modified XLF in one step, i.e. Save Target As will prompt me for every single file. It was OK for 24 files, but I am not keen to do it for 100 files. Is there a workaround in Studio? Or should I rather search for a SDLXLIFF to XLIFF converter?

  • Just use the batch task "Generate target translations" fro the whole project. Select the project in the Projects view and select the task from the Batch task list.

This is btw no workaround, but a very standard procedure. The batch task finalize will do the same plus update the TM(s) used.
