Please make sure that you have the latest version of Studio 2021 installed and then try the following steps: 

1. Download the plugin from Appstore: https://appstore.sdl.com/language/app/language-weaver-cloud/941/

2. Close Studio
3. Go to the following path (you can copy-paste the path directly in Windows Explorer):  C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\16\Plugins\Packages

Note: If you can't find the path above, open Windows File Explorer, click on View and check "Hidden Items" checkbox - Showing hidden files, folders and extensions on Windows operating systems (sdl.com)

 4. Copy the downloaded plugin in the above location
 5. After these steps the plugin should be installed

I did what you have suggested.

I still keep getting this error whenever I try to go to the cloud-based resources:

I could add the Language Weaver to memories by selecting "Language Weaver Cloud Provider" in the drop-down list under "Use"

But now it's throwing an error "object reference not set to an instance of an object".

I am really fed up with this now. I have to work on this big urgent project.
