Hey guys,
So I left Trados open and there was a Windows update on my computer and for some reason when I "opened" Trados this morning it said there was an error when opening the project:
Failed to load project from 'C:\[folder path]\[project file name].sdlproj':
There is an error in XML document (X, Y). Unexpected end of file has occurred.
The following elements are not closed: SettingsGroup, SettingsBundle, SettingsBundle, SettingsBundles, Project. Line X, position Y.
I followed the steps from the forum post: https://gateway.rws.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0036117 where it said: An *.sdlproj file may be corrupted due to an unforeseen shut-down of Studio while writing to it. If any such project file is corrupted, Studio is unable to read it and is forced to shut down.
Guessing it was probably the Windows update, I created a new project and added the files, translation memory etc. but part of the memory did not save even though I 100% confirmed the segments. To give some context, these are products (Product names + product descriptions) and the majority of the descriptions were automatically confirmed and came from the memory (CM) but other parts, mainly ALL the product names and some parts of the descriptions were not translated/confirmed and were marked as Not translated and so I had to do all the work again. It has happened before where I have lost projects but have managed to reupload the files and import the TM and recover the memory and basically just pick up from where I left off but somehow today only parts (certain segments) are missing and i'm wondering why these were not saved to the memory and other segments were. Does it relate to the status or the score of the segment (100%, 98%, CM, AT) or what is the cause?
Thank you in advance for any help!
