Planning to transfer my licence to another PC, but...

Hi,

I need to transfer my licenced Trados Studio to a laptop (up until now it has been running on a regular computer). I know I have to deactivate the licence first, but I've read too many people having issues with it! I'm quite afraid to lose valuable working time trying to solve the issue afterwards, so I'm trying to make sure everything will run smoothly before doing anything.

Do you have any advice, experience or comment to share on this transfer?

    This is me again, posting from an account that has been updated with my new professional email-address.

    During the WE, I purchased the latest upgrade from Studio 2019 to Studio 2021 from this account. I then received a link to the download page of all the different softwares I was entitled to. I have downloaded Studio 2021 from there and installed it on my laptop. The licence appears as “active” on my RWS-online profile.

    BUT : the Trados version refuses the licence activation code, branding it "invalid" for some reason.

    I have filed a ticket with the support team, but I have already lost around 3hours of valuable work this morning and I need to find a solution. Could you maybe help me?
