Is this a problem that affects the actual translation process?  I'm just trying to get a handle on the seriousness of this issue. What's the usecase for copying Korean into the target and then adding spaces like this?

Also, does this happen with any segment where the source is Korean and you copy into the target and start adding spaces? 

Does this also happen when the target is Korean and how can we reproduce it?

Can you share a file, or part of a file, that behaves this way?

Yes, it is a problem. The spaces were used for demonstration purposes. Basically, same thing happens any edit I make to the Korean in the target column, or type in any English text into it.

I would copy source to copy all the tag structure in tag-heavy documents, and just swap the text. But when I type a few letters, the entire segment becomes illegible.

It seems to happen in every KO-EN file. It happens when I copy source to target, and make any edit that changes total length.

I just created a single KO-EN segment project for testing, and same thing happens.

It doesn't happen in EN-KO projects.

I tried changing IME behavior, but no luck. Same thing happens with either direct or confirmed input. :-(

I can't access your file... asked for permission.  You can just attach a zip with your files if you like... not need to use an external host.

Too bad that issue can't be reproduced...

The tag copier is one solution, but I also copy source to target to tweak the source text before I send it to an MT engine to get better MT results.

I'll try to find any new information that could help reproduce issue and write again when I do.

Hi. After a lot of fiddling around, i found a workaround.

For some reason, this issue doesn't happen after a fresh install, but is reproduced the second time I run Trados.

And if I delete the folder below, the issue is resolved temporarily.

C:\Users\jws23\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio16

Also, I think this has something to do with spacing and how Korean is rendered in the editor window.

If you look closely at the position of the full stop in this video, it doesn't move to the right when i hit the first space. It actually moves slightly to the left, and when I hit another space, text gets corrupted. 

Around 00:15, you'll see that text gets squished when I hit space and undo...

Hopefully this provides some hint to the problem.
