These features were not available in the alignment module for 2017. You only had these options:
In later versions, 2021 preferably, you have these:
Merging isn't an option because this achieved by simply joining more than segment together. In 2017 you could "merge" up to three segments together this way:
In 2021 you can "merge" up to five segments:
The alignment module has been considerably enhanced since 2017 and there are more useful options than just this.
