I installed Trados Studio 2021 yesterday and everything looks fine except two things:
The TM Window displays French results all in CAPS. How can I change the display?
I am working in a PowerPoint document and I can't access the formatting functions (especially the superscript). The buttons are greyed. I used to have access to these buttons when working with PowerPoint files with my 2017 license.

Can you share a screenshot? TM results should be based on what's in your TM and not a setting... unless you have selected a font that is all caps perhaps? Perhaps you can share a screenshot of this as well?
For example I changed the font for German and can see this in all caps:

What version of Trados Studio?
Ca you share a screenshot of your file open in the editor and make sure the orange tab displays the type of file being used (toggle the tag to Tag ID in the View menu to achieve this):

Thank you so much for your answer. My first problem is solved, the TM now displays normally.
As for the greyed buttons, I confirm that the orange tag displays with the extension .pptx. My version of Trados Studio is 2021. I tried to open a new PowerPoint test file and the buttons are working. The problem is occuring only with the file I am currently working on, so I unfortunately can't post a screenshot.
Can you share the file with me? You can send it to pfilkin@rws.com if that's acceptable?

ok - another idea. With the file open, and the orange tab visible, please toggle the display (Ctrl+Alt+D) to see what the underlying filetype is. I'm wondering if you received the sdlxliff from someone else and it was created with a much older version of the filetype... or perhaps you have continued working on a project that was created in an older version of the software since you just upgraded yesterday?
This could be a reason for you not being able to have working Quick Insert. If you create a new project with the source powerpoint file, just to test, can you see them now?

the underlying filetype
I'm not referring to the file extension here. I'm referring to the filetype that Trados Studio used to open the file. So in 2021 that would be this one as I showed earlier:

You are right Paul, the buttons are working when I create a new project with the same file. Then, I guess the solution is to ask for a new package from the project manager? Thank you again!

That will only help if your client has an up to date version of Trados Studio. If they are using an old version they won't be able to fix this for you.
