Hi! I hope someone can help me. I have a termbase problem. When I create project packages in Trados Studio Professional 2019 and send them to my translators, the termbase doesn't show up.
No messages appear, no errors, the termbase simply doesn't show up:
When I send them the termbase separately, they can open it manually without any trouble and use it in the Trados project, but I'd like to avoid this since I've spent much time creating these glossaries and I wouldn't like to pass them around just like that.
I've updated to Trados Studio 2021 and tried creating a package there, but the problem persists. Do you have any idea what could cause this?
You must actively select the option to add a termbase in the last step of the project package creation. This setting is not ticked by default AFAIR.
Dear Jerzy,
Thanks for the reply. That's clear, but my issue is somehow bigger, I would say.
When I create the project, it's clearly stated that the Termbase has been added - in this Step 4,
as well as in the end of this process
I created the package, sent it to my translator and this is what she got. Just to mention that I checked this with several colleagues, on different computers.
I would appreciate your reply.
Rgs,
TatjanaWhat Jerzy suggested was to add the termbase when you create the package, not when you create the project! You need to check this option here:Even if your project contains a termbase, the project package will not unless you do check this option when creating the package.Hope this clarifies the situation.
