I have also encountered this problem before and there are several possible causes, one of them being the merging of segments across paragraph boundaries. 
The best way to fix the problem is to open the original source document and run a pretranslate against a temporary TM in which you import the SDLXLIFF file you have already translated. From this new SDLXLIFF you can then generate a target document that should open in PowerPoint without problems.

Thank you Walter. Unfortunately it does not work. We currently work with Studio 2019 SR1. I'm going to ask our IT to install the latest version, maybe that might help.

This procedure does always work if your source file is OK and its not dependent on your version of Studio.

I suggest you do the following:

1. After you have opened the source document, do a preview to make sure that you can generate a target from the untranslated source document. This verifies that the problem is not with the source document.

2. Then, instead of doing a pretranslate against your temporary TM, do a "translate to fuzzy". This will stop whenever a segment split or merge has been done in the previous translation and allow you to manually adjust the situation with a split or merge. After you have done such a segment split or merge, immediately do a preview to see whether this operation caused a problem. If the preview works fine, go on with the "translate to fuzzy".  If the preview gives an error, then you know what caused the problem in the first run and you'll need to undo the split/merge.
Keep doing this until you get to the end of the document and then do again a preview and save the target.
