I'm never sure what the expected behaviour should be with BiDi languages since you are entering source language in the target and yet the directionality is controlled with rules designed for the target language, not the source.  I think the solution must be to correct this using the BiDi markers.  This article might be worth reviewing:

Written a long time ago by Shai Nave and still the best article I have ever read on working with bidirectional texts.

I'd also note that 2015 will definitely not be fixed if there was a bug as this is far too old, and even 2019 is unlikely to be addressed unless it's also a problem in the more recent versions and one that can be fixed at the same time without significant effort over and above what would be needed to fix something in 2021 or 2022.
