Trados 2019 TM Batch Edit function refuses to replace terms with nothing or with spaces

A very large number of TUs were imported in such a way that they contain code which visually represents a Linebreak character, "_x000D_"

Despite this, the linebreaks appear where they're supposed to. Therefore, I wanted to remove all of the values "_x000D_" from my TM, as they are causing issues.

When I attempt to replace them using the Batch Editor, I get an error.

Trados Studio Batch Edit Script window showing actions to replace '_x000D_' with an empty space in source and target text.

Error message in Trados Studio stating 'Running the batch edit script. One or more errors occurred.'

Detailed error message in Trados Studio with 'One or more errors occurred.' and technical details including 'SystemAggregateException' and 'Response status code does not indicate success: 400 (Bad Request).'

If I instead try to replace the tags with a space character, I get the same error. Yet, if I replace the tag with other text, the operation seems to process.

How can I remove these tags from my TM without having to export and reimport my TM?
