Dear friends, I have tried everything to merge segments and following every instruction. The right boxes are clicked in settings and when I mark the segments and right click to merge, the merge possibility is consistently grey. It simply doesn't work. Without it, the text is a big mess.
Any other suggestions besides what is already here? One thing is that I have already started translating. Would this keep merging from working? Thanks.

This setting is required to be able to merge two consequent segments that are separated by a paragraph mark.
Be aware that merging segments across paragraph boundaries comes with some risks. Depending on the content of the merged paragraphs (e.g. picture tags) you may not be able to generate your target file at the end of your translation process. Best practice is to check if the preview works after each such merge operation.
And even better practice is to adapt the source file to avoid sentences being split by a hard return.
