In the Word file generated from project pdf.sdlxliff file using Generate Target Translation, all text boxes (used for section titles) contain both source and target text overlaid on top of each other, as in the attached file.

PDF files can be tricky. If you have a problem like this and you have rules out tag issues by running the tag verifier then I'd recommend you take the Word file that will have been created in the source language folder, clean it up, and then translate that file instead of the PDF directly.

Thank you for this advice. I am very much a Trados novice, so will try the tag verifier. I am disappointed that Trados can struggle with PDFs.
I have tried editing the output Word file, but I am having trouble selecting the Japanese text to delete it, the cursor only seems to find the English.
I will try the tag verifier.
