I am having trouble including existing translations in a bilingual excel using the corresponding file type in Trados Studio 2021 (SR2 CU9). Even if I do not choose to exclude them, they do not appear in the editor. Is this a bug with the file type or am I missing something?
Here are my settings. Column A are keys, column B are the translatable values and column C the target column with some existing translations.
I would check that you are indeed using the bilingual excel filetype, or that you are using it with the settings you think you are. The most common mistake is not having the template you eventually use to create your project configured correctly.
You could also share a small sample of your file so we have an example using the same columns and configured in the same way. Only need a few entries which you can completely make up for a test.

Thank you for your quick reply. I was just preparing the file extract for you when I noticed the existing texts in the target column were actually excel functions. After copying the whole column and pasting again only the values, existing translations got recognized by Trados Studio. So, problem solved.
