Windows 10 Microsoft Pinyin IME switching automatically from Chinese to English in Editor view of Trados 2021

I am using Microsoft Pinyin IME to do English to Simplified Chinese project in the Editor view of Trados 2021. It frequently switch from Chinese to English all of a sudden, while the the bottom right IME icon still shows Simplified Chinese as if no change ever happened. And I cannot switch it back to Chinese by pressing the designated button, the Shift key which is supposed to do the English/Chinese switching.

I am aware that the issue may not totally relate to Trados, it's more likely related to Microsoft Pinyin IME, but I've not experienced the same issue in other text editors.

It is known that MS IME can keep different settings on different windows, so when this issue happens, it's like the foreground window automatically changed from my Trados Editor view to another invincible window.

My current workaround is to do some sort of switching, for example, clicking somewhere empty in the termbase pane then clicking again in the editor view, or Alt+Tab to another window and Alt+Tab again to switch back to Trados Editor view.

However it's really annoying as it's happening far too often.

Hopefully someone may have experienced the same and have found a solution that worked once and for all.

Thanks!
