You can hide tags using the WYSIWYG but it is not independent from the Editor view.

If your preference is to reduce tags but still keep them in Editor view, then perhaps amending the options under "Editor > Translation Results Window" will help



Does that give you any sort of view that is more align with what you are hoping?

Weirdly, I was aware of the WYSIWYG option, but it wasn't working on the TM matches shown in the Translations Results pane. What you see in that screenshot did not change when activating/deactivating that setting. Not sure why.

That other option you mentioned,

Editor > Translation Results Window > Differences Options > Show translation memory source segment differences

… isn't that for something else? I don't want the source segment differences not to be shown, I just want all tags to be converted into their formatting or simply not shown, so the text is visually intelligible at a glance.

RWS Trados Studio supports keyboard shortcut almost perfectly.
When you make an "Icon (Action or PlugIn whatever you name it)" then you could make a keyboard shortcut for sure

Now, I have tested "Tag Hide and Seek" game.

It is a RWS Trados Studio PlugIn of mine, means, you can not find it anywhere else except from from me.

Does your solution work in v2022? Is it available from your website yet?

Then your toggle with WYSIWYG is what you need. It only works with formatting tags and placeholder tags will remain.
