Adding space between the segments in the editor

Is it possible to add a space (empty line) between segments in the editor for better visibility?

As you can see in the example below, there are cases where this feature could be very helpful

Screenshot of Trados Studio editor showing segments 2670 and 2671 without space in between. Segment 2670 ends with 'HEPCO-Motion:(2x)' and segment 2671 starts with 'Handschmierstelle:(1)'.

A space between segments 2670 and 2671 would make it easier to see where the first segment ends and the next starts.

Thanks

  • Hi  ,

I see there may be some formatting applied in there, which is why the white formatting seemed to be merged with the previous segment. So I would suggest going to File >Options>Editor. In the Formatting display style change the options you have to "Show all formatting and tags". Click OK to confirm.

Trados Studio Options menu with 'Formatting display style' dropdown set to 'Show all formatting and tags'.

Check if this change is better adapted to your needs.

In addition, you can also change the active display filter to show all content instead of segments. For this, in the top ribbon go to Review tab and select "All content" in the Display formatting option.

Trados Studio Review tab showing 'Display formatting' dropdown with 'All content' selected.

    I hope it helps!
