confirmed (version2017 & version2022)

The xlsx file has "91" cell's content at "F" column, but "18" comments only at Studio (tried 2 times, both with the same result)

Something's wrong

For instance cells F9 and F22 are missing (Red Highlights)

at sdlxliff's TransUnit level it has "91" comments, that is normal and good
but, its CommentDefinition count is "18" only, just like above screenshot.
that means.. some comments are duplicated, thus ignored - with unreasonable manner.

version2022 has the same problem with slightly different comment count "28", still not "91"

the easiest workaround is to make to-be-comment cell's content unique.
-with serial numbers or cell address something

following comments count is "91", normal

I have added simple serial number with VBA

if you do not have control over source file (xlsx) then you have to modify sdlxliff directly, but that is not the case of yours, fortunately enough.

Thanks a lot for your help.

You are right, the problem seems to be the fact that some comments are identical. I added your modified Excel file to my project and the number of comments is correct now.

open it (sdlxliff) using any kind of text editor.

Actually, I did look at the sdlxliff file in Notepad++ and I searched for "TransUnit" and "CommentDefinition" but I found no match.

naming is my own one
"precise" name is different from it, for sure
but, if someone knows "sdlxliff structure" (s)he knows what I mentioned, easily.

so, never worry about "sdlxliff", that is not your toy, actually.

That is very interesting. I am sure you read above that Kelly Edward could reproduce it in Trados Studio 2022.

I felt really sure that this issue must be a bug, but maybe it's something else after all...

Do you have any idea what could be the reason for the different results? I am really curious.
