moving packages from one computer to another

Hello everyone. I use Studio 2021.

Does anyone know how to start working on a project with multiple files on one computer and then move all of them to another computer and resume working from there?

Any help much appreciated

If the paths are the same on both computers, and if you place your projects in the default location then copy all the files from here:

    c:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\Studio 2021\Projects\

to the same location on your new machine.

Then move all your Translation Memories, Termbases etc. from the path they are now to the same path on the new computer.

Like this it's simple and everything will be there immediately apart from plugins which should be installed again.

If your paths are different, and if you work with single file projects, or put projects in different places, then it's a little messier, but as long as your paths are the same on both machines it can still be simple.  Just copy this file from here:

    c:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\Studio 2021\Projects\projects.xml

to the same location on your new machine.

Then copy all your saved projects and resources into the same location on the new machine.

It's not rocket science, just a matter of copying files.  So you just need to know where everything is on your old machine and put them somewhere you can find them on the new one.
